In recent years, solar power became the cheapest source of energy in the world, surpassing wind and its fossil fuel counterparts like natural gas. Factories are among the world’s biggest consumers of energy due to their mass scale and high volume of processes centralized in one location. As a result of the major energy costs associated with manufacturing, A&J Australia have identified solar power as the perfect way to reduce operating costs and eager to reduce our
carbon footprint to be more environmentally friendly.
In 2016, due to inefficient of our electrical infrastructure the way our factory uses the power, A&J decided to have solar panel installed. We used the top-grade solar solutions allowing savings on power and lower the network kVa.
We fully utilised the large flat roofs of our factory and installed a total of 384 solar panels and 4 solar invertors. This is to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability. We choose to operate responsibly as social commitment is our company’s value.
